Saturday evening storms swept into
East Tennessee and caused some damage in some areas.
Storms rolled into the area at about 6:00 p.m. and, while some parts of
East Tennessee remained relatively quietly, others received a bit more
damage.
Photos submitted from a viewer in White Pine said storms hit her home at
about 6:30 p.m. and destroyed some property. Wind and rain tossed plants
off of her porch and turned over furniture.
In one picture, a tree uprooted from the storms is shown laying across
the roadway.
Yesterday's storms tore off the roof of her shed and nearly demolished
the rest of the building.
One woman sent in photos of her mother and father-in-law's farm,
Meadowview, located on Highway 113 in White Pine, which acts as a
wedding venue as well. Though the property suffered some damage, the
wedding venue itself was fine, the daughter said. |
