Three Charged In Death Of Jefferson County Three Year Old
On the afternoon of May 24, three-year-old Nicolae Hensley collapsed in his front yard. The child was unresponsive, and was air lifted to UT Hospital where he later died.

Three months later, the Jefferson County sheriff's office made three arrests in connection with his death, including Nicolae's parents.

Danielle Autume Cutshall, 31, of New Market was arrested Tuesday at her place of work in Sevier County and charged with first degree murder after autopsy results indicate Hensley died after receiving a blunt force trauma to the head. Cutshall was living at the residence when the incident occurred.

Cutshall has also been charged with aggravated child abuse.

Derrick Donavan Hensley, 24, father of Nicolae Hensley, was arrested in Strawberry Plains and charged with aggravated child abuse. Nicolae’s mother, Brittaney Barbee, 31, was also arrested and charged with child abuse and neglect.

All charged are currently being held at the Jefferson County jail.
