Small 2.9 Earthquake Rattles Northeast Knox County Early Wednesday

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Did you feel it? A small earthquake happened in Northeast Knox County early Wednesday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 2.9 magnitude earthquake in certain areas of Mascot, Blaine, Plainview, and Knox County at around 3:56 a.m.

So far, about seven people have said they could feel the rattling of the earthquake in Tennessee.
